Rest In
Peace

2OO4 and 2OO8

This project arose from a utopian desire to speed up the disappearance of this chair that has invaded the planet–probably one of the most widely produced chairs in history. The shape of the perforations reproduces the damage caused by osteoporosis at various stages. The object becomes a skeleton that might be dug up during an archaeological excavation in the future. We made the first chairs by directly perforating a plastic garden chair. The second series is made of cast aluminium, like traditional garden furniture.
