Ceramics made in Vallauris / 2OO4
This project, initially designed for a gallery, aims to fully explore the exhibition space. The visitor first sees a series of ceramic containers placed side by side on a shelf. In another room, he discovers a video illustrating the method of making the shapes he has seen, originating from the profile of a simple flowerpot. The position of this profile on the screen constantly changes. When the "pause" button is pressed, the shape stops moving around the screen and starts to rotate, creating a 3D form. The viewer now realises that the objects on the shelf are just a few of the infinite number of shapes that can be made using an algorithm.
